ViewGit 0.0.2 has just been released (download) with minor features and bugfixes. Most visible change is probably the addition of tag/head/remote labels, idea shamelessly ripped from GitWeb.
In case anyone isn’t reading Sinfest yet, it has been having a very humorous look on the financial situation, starting somewhere around 2008-09-10. Some US presidential candidacy material is (naturally) mixed in, but that should only add to the flavor
For a few years distributed revision control systems have been picking up speed especially in free software projects, but increasingly so in companies and organisations as well. While the problem of “disconnected” working on code was solved by the distributed revision control model, what remained was the fact that issue tracking still couldn’t be done in a truly distributed manner.
This case has mostly stayed under the media radar, but it seems to be finally finishing up.
There isn’t much more to say about the kind of person who attempts something like this.
